Jamaica’s rich intangible cultural heritage (ICH) can be found in every nook and cranny of island. The African Caribbean Institute of Jamaica/Jamaica Memory Bank in playing its role in documenting and protecting the nation’s ICH and supporting the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage has developed an extensive inventory of ICH in Jamaica. Is the ICH of your community represented on this map? If not, please upload to this website photographs or videos showcasing your community’s ICH.
